Your brand, on my black car.
I said a good man sends a black car.
Eight million people had opinions.
Nobody sent the car.
So I’m buying the Escalade with ad space.
Bid on a spot. Put your brand on the truck. Help buy the black car the internet wouldn’t stop talking about.
Eight million people watched me argue that a good man sends a black car. Not one of them offered to pay for it.
The argument that bought the truck
On someone posted a Hinge thread where a woman asked her date to send a car and he turned her down. I said what I actually think. The internet took it from there.
A month of being told I was the problem, and not one person offered to cover the car. So I am covering it, and the sides are going to the highest bidder. Read the post.
What you’re buying
This isn’t a parked billboard. I will actually drive this Escalade for one full year, and winning brands get their placement for the entire 12 month campaign.
The car won’t just exist in traffic. Over the year I’ll publish at least 12 dedicated social posts featuring the Escalade and 24 more organic appearances across photos, videos and stories. That is a minimum of 36 social appearances, plus a year of real world driving. Your logo goes wherever the car goes.
On the truck right now
The auction, live.
Every spot shows what it is going for right now. Bid on one, or take the whole flank.
Who can advertise?
Pretty much anyone. I’m not running a brand safety committee.
Palantir? Sure. A tobacco company? Sure, subject to applicable advertising laws and platform rules. Some company your PR firm told you never to stand next to? Probably.
If it’s legal for me to display and advertise, I’m willing to hear the bid. I reserve the right to reject anything unlawful, or anything that creates legal, safety or contractual problems.
How it works
Pick a spot
Sixteen zones in four sizes, priced by how much of the truck they cover and how many people see them.
Beat the current bid
Bids have to clear the leader by at least $100. They land on the board the second you place them.
Your logo goes on the truck
Cut in commercial grade vinyl, installed on both flanks, and driven everywhere I go for the length of the run.
What the money buys
Anything raised past the goal covers the wrap, the install and the gas to keep it moving.
